Helix Lamp

​The idea for this lamp was not based on any tangible reference, instead stemming from the question, is this really possible to 3D-print? Lohman continually asked himself this question before making any design choices. When he overcame difficult steps in the process, he created new ones to make this lamp as time consuming, treacherous, and costly as he possibly could. This table lamp was designed through an iterative critiquing process with tweaks and re-tweaks being made weekly for multiple months. The final design is 3D-printed in ABS plastic with a varying width of wall thicknesses to achieve the desired glowing effect.
