Digital Prototyping
Project 3

This was Lohman's most ambitious project so far. The premise was to model a new bus stop that would be located outside of the Art Building West at the University of Iowa. He decided to then think about how that space might look in the future - potentially a desolate wasteland. He modeled a desert and a destroyed bridge running through it before even starting the process of modeling his bus stop. The final renders were required to have at least one human in the scene, and he decided to use a human skeleton instead! The human model required only needed to be stagnant, but Lohman took it upon himself to rig the skeleton and make it articulable to pose throughout the scene. He learned to work with particle systems, rigging, texture mapping, and V-rays to reach the desired effect for his bus stop.
